The helical ribbon mixer is an efficient equipment for mixing powders with powders or powders with liquids. Its core structure includes double-layer helical ribbons (the inner and outer helical ribbons rotate in opposite directions) inside the container. It is suitable for handling large volumes, high-viscosity or materials with significant differences in specific gravity, and can achieve uniform mixing of materials in a short time. It is widely used in industries such as chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, food, and building materials. This equipment features high mixing efficiency, no dead corners, and convenient unloading. It can also be equipped with heating, cooling or liquid spraying devices as required to meet different process requirements.
Working principle
When the equipment is in operation, the inner and outer helical belts rotate at different speeds. The outer helical belt pushes the material from both ends of the mixing container towards the central area, while the inner helical belt transports the material from the central area to both ends. This creates a forced convective circulation of the material within the container. This bidirectional pushing motion pattern enables the material to be rapidly and uniformly mixed through continuous shearing, diffusion, and tumbling. Even for materials with significant density differences, high viscosity, or large capacity, it can achieve the desired mixing effect in a relatively short time, and can also reduce mixing dead zones, ensuring the consistency of material mixing.
