The U-shaped spiral conveyor mainly consists of a U-shaped trough body, spiral
blades, driving device, support, feed port and discharge port, is suitable for conveying
powdery and granular materials, such as grain, cement, fertilizer, plastic pellets,
mineral powder, etc. Due to its compact structure small footprint, good sealing, high
conveying efficiency and stable operation, it is widely used in chemical, building
materials, food, metallurgy and other industries. Compared with types of spiral
conveyors, the U-shaped spiral conveyor is more suitable for conveying materials that
are prone to blockage, and its trough body can be designed and customized to needs
to adapt to different conveying requirements.
Screw conveyor composition structure:
1. Driving device: adopt cycloidal gear reducer or shaft-mounted hard tooth surface
gear reducer, and driving device should be designed at the discharge port end as
much as possible, so that the spiral body is in a tensile state during operation.
2. The head is equipped with a thrust bearing, which can withstand the axial force
generated during the conveying of materials.
3. Spiral blade: generally made of stainless steel or carbon steel If the service life is
considered, it is recommended to use spiral conveyor blades made of high-strength
wear-resistant steel.
4. Machine shell: it is a "U"-shaped slot type, with a rain-proof machine cover on the
upper part, and the material can be stainless steel or carbon steel or glass fiber
reinforced plastic.
5. Liner of the slot body: made of high-strength engineering plastic high molecular
polyethylene, with weak adsorption, no sticking, wear resistance, and corrosion.
6. Feed and discharge ports: there are two types, square and round, and the form of
the feed and discharge ports is generally determined by the user.
The spiral blade is welded on the rotating shaft of the U-shaped spiral conveyor, and
the spiral blade will rotate to produce forward power when working, forcing the
material to move forward to complete the conveying. In this process, the reason why
the material does not rotate with the blade is that one is the gravity of material itself,
and the other is the friction resistance of the inner shell of the equipment on the material.
U-shaped spiral conveyor is suitable for small-scale operations, with stable conveying
and can perform well under limited conveying site conditions. It has good performance,
which is extremely advantageous for occasions with large dust and environmental
requirements, and can avoid the generation of dust during the conveying process.
1. Thickened spiral the inlet: The thickness is about 6~8mm, and it can also be
thickened according to the wear resistance of the material.
2. Multiple materials: The shell material can be carbon steel/stainless steel, and the
conveying materials are extensive.
3. No blockage: The discharge port is equipped with a cleaning to ensure that the
material does not block, and the conveying is more reliable.
4. No dust: The hanging bearings use sliding bearings with dust-proof sealing devices,
have good sealing effects.
5. Flexible layout: Continuous conveying can be achieved horizontally/large inclination,
which is suitable for more different application scenarios.
6. High-eff conveying: The design of the spiral body with small diameter, high speed,
and variable spiral ensures that the product is smoothly and quickly fed evenly during
the working process.
7. Diversified connection: The inlet and outlet ports can adopt universal ball, cloth bag,
flange, and other connection methods.
